Fountain of Life

In the earlier times, the fountain of life is known as the fountain of living waters, a Christian symbol of iconography that is related to baptism, this thing was first introduced in the illuminated manuscripts of the 5th century and then after such, it was shown in some other arts like panel paintings. The fountain of life’s symbol is mostly known as a fountain which is enclosed by a structure that has the shape of a hexagon and is covered by a dome that is round in shape that has eight columns to support it.

Fountain of living water is a way of Christian Baptism, it means that you will be born again with the Lord Jesus; this kind of structure is more often than not circled with animals and is connected with baptism. The fountain of life is honoured by many people; it is believed that it can give new beginning to those who were baptized. It brings Christ closer to our lives, and will be our guide against evil. The fountain of life also symbolizes our oneness with the lord, and in some countries, it is believed that if you take a bath in the fountain of life, you will be cleansed, and if you were able to drink in it, they said that you will gain life, your life as a youth will come back and you will become an immortal.

But of course, we must know the fact that in order for our sins to be cleansed, we must do good doings, repent on our sins and ask for forgiveness. Remember that not water alone can purify us, but the things that we should do must be right. The said fountain of life is only a symbol that will help us get away from the sinful world, so for us to be free, we must know the dos and don’ts of our lives.
